Toronto-area rockers Weeping Tile, led by the dulcet vocals of Sarah Harmer, opened their career with 1995’s simply named EEPEE. Although it opens on a forceful note with the fiery “Anyone,” the rest of the album consists of mellower songs of the sort Harmer would revisit as a solo artist. In fact, it includes the more pared-down original version of “Basement Apt.,” her first single in 2000. Her keen ear for a hook is already apparent on tracks like “Room with a Sir John A. View."
