AllMusic Review by

Volume 17 of this series explores some 21 sides Crosby and the band cut in 1942. Kicking off with the Bob Cats' rendition of "That Da Da Strain" and finishing up with the orchestra's work behind Fred Astaire and brother Bing for the soundtrack of Holiday Inn, the music ranges from hardcore Dixieland to pop schmaltz with vocals from Crosby and Muriel Lane. Another top notch volume in this set.
