Easy Meditations for Difficult Times collects four guided meditations written and spoken by John Daniels. "Relax the Body: The Anti-Insomnia Meditation" is a nearly half-hour meditation for better sleep; "Ease the Mind: Meditation for Releasing Fear and Resentment" and "Heal the Soul: Daily Inspirations for Your Healthy Relationships" are brief meditations on how to deal with day-to-day troubles; and "Nourish the Spirit: The Healing Light Meditation" is a ten-minute program designed for mental and spiritual rejuvenation. Daniels' calming instructions are surrounded by equally calming synth washes in the background; while they aren't particularly remarkable, they do help keep the focus on the meditations. Easy Meditations for Difficult Times is a no-frills meditation album, but that doesn't take away from its effectiveness.
