Shahin & Sepehr's trademark guitar sound combines with exotic rhythms and world percussion, as they return with a collection of their greatest hits and two new tracks on Higher Octave's The Best of Shahin & Sepehr. This 18-track compilation reflects their four releases for the label: One Thousand & One Nights, the introspective E, their 1996 exotic release Aria, and their smash hit in 1998, World Café. Two new tracks made the cut: an up-tempo arrangement of Cat Stevens' "Wild World" and the duo's newly recorded "Melting Heart." Its romantic lyricism has an enchanting melody that takes the listener even deeper into their musical visions. Shahin & Sepehr is an excellent guitar duo that interprets Western music from an Eastern perspective and should broaden their world-class appeal with this excellent compilation.
