With short bursts of speed and anger fueling their lyrical concerns of feminism and homosexuality, San Francisco's Piston also add a sense of humor to their tone, especially with the title track "Dyke Fight Tonight." On a song that details a love triangle turned ugly between three women, the soundtrack of screaming female vocals fronting the three-chord agility is present throughout the remainder of this EP. And with an apparent influence of the Misfits and L7 strongly present in Piston's sound, the presence of fun remains as strongly as their political inspirations.
