There's a lot of dross on 2001's seventh D.Trance installment. An overwhelming number of songs depend solely on the ham-fisted side of trance, with its poor singing and horribly programmed caricatures of keyboard effects. The highlights aren't really highlights at all. Dee Mark's "Moonwalker, flecked with xylophone, is needlessly twinkly; Alpha Breed's "X-Pectation" is built around tuneless chanteuse vocals; Topmodelz's "Strings of Infinity" is the Battlestar Galactica theme gone gushingly vegan; and not even the Kamaya Painters, Vincent de Moor, Pulsedriver, or Gary D himself, who have all done better, can salvage the thing from irritation.
