Considering they're on a Boston label, it's not a big stretch to say these actually-pretty-good-looking boys bring back some of the best elements of the more straightforward Mission of Burma, mixed with a little Squirrel Bait and a host of roasting early-to-mid '80s mid-tempo post-punk pop bands. It's got all the sharpest ingredients: the roaring, thick guitar chops from the mighty two guitars of Andy and Brendan, a singer in Andy with a gravely edge but a clear set of pipes, singing "I wanna be there when he takes your clothes off/Tells you to fuck off" in that direct-to-the-point way, and a drummer in Chris who probably never sits still on his throne, he's so fantastically busy. Why spend 100 paragraphs stating the obvious? These guys plain smoke!!! In all the best rock and roll, and punk ways, too. They even set John Fogerty's/Credence Clearwater Revival's "Lodi" on fire at the end! Dorkmania!
