AllMusic Review by

This CD gives listeners a sampling of Doris Day's recordings when she was the band vocalist with Les Brown's Orchestra during 1940-41 and 1945-46. Unfortunately the breezy liner notes do not bother to list the orchestra's personnel or even give recording dates but the music is generally worth hearing. Doris Day's big hit ("Sentimental Journey") is not on this disc but there are fine versions of "Aren't You Glad You're You," "Come to Baby, Do," "We'll Be Together Again" and "It Could Happen to You" among the 16 songs. Fine music, lousy packaging.
