Long on ideas but just a bit short on coherence or development, the Kid's proper album debut cycles through sample- and static-heavy hardcore gabba/techno. Though humor is a big part of Don't Sweat the Technics (check the interlude "She's Defective"), Kid606 is a much better producer than he'd like you to believe, from the stomping percussive title track to inclusions like "Silver Egg" and "You Mean This Much Right Now."
