Released in association with the channel that broadcasts reruns of the Donna Reed Show, this has 13 easy listening pop hits from the early '60s, topped off with the Donna Reed Show theme. A couple of these have light relationships with pop-rock (Shelley Fabares' "Johnny Angel," Linda Scott's "I've Told Every Little Star"). But this is mostly crooning or easy listening, with hits by Bobby Vinton, Andy Williams, Percy Faith, and Ray Conniff. The forgotten eccentric one-shot instrumental hit by Bill Purcell, "A Winter Love," with its booming fuzz bassline, is a nice bonus. However, with no liner notes and a spotty track selection, it's not geared toward collectors with a deep appreciation of this sort of thing, but those who just want a taste of it for its novelty value.
