As you might expect, this release features plenty of dolphin calls. But be warned! Those gleeful and natural noises play out over a litany of soulless contemporary instrumental backing tracks that sap most, if not all, of Dolphins Harmony's vitality. Its liner notes speak eloquently of the dolphins' "life-giving aura" and rightfully suggest that the creatures can teach we humans a few lessons about living, loving, and enjoying life. It's ironic then that the musical portion of Dolphins Harmony has much the opposite effect. Dull, domineering, and ultimately irritating, the dolphins might very well make the destruction of this album their first order of business once they grow hands and take over the world.
