Dock Rock is a budget-priced compilation produced by BMG International for the Canadian market featuring 18 classic rock tunes gathered loosely around the concept of music for summer, or "Dock Rock." Since this is a Canadian-centric release, established AOR favorites like the Romantics' "What I Like About You" and Mountain's "Mississippi Queen" are interspersed with hits from Kim Mitchell, Trooper, David Wilcox, and Max Webster -- all artists who rocketed up the Canadian pop charts in the 1970s. Dock Rock's best moments come late in the day. Ontario's Teenage Head turns in "Let's Shake," an amazing slice of jaunty, smarmy garage pop. And famous Rush competitors Triumph set the dock on fire with the incendiary glam metal of "I Live for the Weekend."
