Ours frontman Jimmy Gnecco mentored under Jeff Buckley, and the similarities between the two are uncanny on his band's debut album, Distored Lullabies. Soaring melodies, sweeping vocals, and ethereal themes are prevalent, as is a sense of unoriginality. Gnecco mimics his late protégé with ease, but ultimately it is just imitation. Somewhere, Buckley is flattered.
