The ten-volume Distance to Goa series, released by Distance in France and the U.K., compiles trance tracks -- mostly from the mid-to-late '90s -- in unmixed form. Even by Goa trance standards, these compilations are pretty unremarkable, with unknown contributors greatly outnumbering the more familiar ones. Some volumes include a second disc featuring a DJ mix, which adds a little more value to the otherwise disposable nature that each volume shares. The sixth volume of the series is a single-disc package that includes Hallucinogen's "Jiggle of the Sphinx," Funkopath's "Skwirm," Space Tribe's "Nuclear Fission Chips," Miranda's "Year 2000," and Cypher-O's "Psychedelia Junglistia."
