AllMusic Review by

The title of this twin-CD set recorded live by Didier Sinclair and DJ F.E.X. is something of a misnomer. Though Diskotek offers plenty of that sweet nouveau disco that the French do so well, it also freely dabbles in other house styles. It is Sinclair who deviates most from the expected Gallic formula, producing a blend of disco, progressive, trance, and tech-house. But no complaints here, because it's quality stuff, featuring some pretty big club cuts by the likes of the Orb, Barbara Tucker, and X-Press 2. On disc two, DJ F.E.X. goes for a funkier, groovier set that should give deep house fans something more to cheer about. He's also gone for more obscure titles than his partner, though you're likely to recognize such efforts as "Lovely Flight" by none other than Didier Sinclair. All in all, a nice, tight package and a fine variation on the French disco theme.
