AllMusic Review by

A compilation of Bell Records' tracks with the Box Tops' two biggest: "Cry Like a Baby" and "The Letter" bookending the other selections. Between the blue-eyed soul you have "I'll Be Sweeter Tomorrow (Than I Was Yesterday)," by the O'Jays, and the Delfonics' mournful "Break Your Promise" and jubilant "La, La Means I Love You," along with James & Bobby Purify's raucous "Shake a Tail Feather," and some grits and eggs soul from Al Green by way of "Back Up Train." Numbers by Merrilee Rush, Bobby Russell, and the Masqueraders add to the albums' diversity.
