Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels were a Motown express in the early to mid-'60s, turning out powerfully charged blue-eyed soul rockers one after the other. This brief set has several of these, including the classic and fiery "Jenny Take a Ride," which combined Little Richard's "Jenny Jenny" and Chuck Willis' "C.C. Rider" into a single explosive and frenzied romp that remains one of the best singles of the era.
