Demonstrating My Style/Look My Way Review

by Jason Lymangrover

Demonstrating My Style/Look My Way combines Madball's second and third albums, making it a solid value for fans who appreciate New York hardcore made especially for stomping Doc Martins and flexing elbows on riotous dancefloors. Demonstrating My Style shows the group at its rawest, sweating out some of its metal influences, and includes its uplifting anthem of Oi!, "Pride (Times Are Changing)." For Look My Way, drummer Will Shepler was replaced with John Lafata, and guitarist Matt Henderson took a turn in the producer's chair. Marking the midpoint of their career, it shows Madball in a slightly more polished and modern-sounding light, but as riled as ever.
