A whopping 38 tracks from the productive British band's vast archive; if best-of compilations were the sole criteria, the Tremeloes would get into Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on the first ballot. Companies have released enough assemblages on this group to wallpaper a room. The Tremeloes' brand of rock is energetic, engaging, and palatable, yet nobody's mentioned them in the same breath with rock superstars. Despite hitting on both sides of the Atlantic and issuing sides as prolifically as Perkins serves pancakes, they get no respect -- the Rodney Dangerfields of rock. This is a good add for fans of British pop 40, light rock-soul, and 'tudeless music.
