Rhino's Deep Space Bass: Toonami gathers techno-styled recordings from such Cartoon Network series as Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing, Blue Sub, Powerpuff Girls, Outlaw Star, Ronin Warriors, and Dragonball Z. This stuff isn't cutting-edge techno circa 2001 -- in fact, it often sounds like something that would have run on MTV's Amp in 1996 -- but it's atmospheric electronica that makes for good, vaguely spacy mood music. Of course, like most soundtracks, it's really only of interest if you watch the showcased series, but if you do, it's a good souvenir. And if you don't, it's not bad electronic background music.
