Not nearly as famous as Rudy Ray Moore (though the pair appear in Moore's cult classic film Petey Wheatstraw: The Devil's Son-in-Law), Skillet & Leroy never had a chance with comedy skits about "f*cking cows" with "goose grease." More noteworthy is the thought that LaWanda Page played Aunt Esther on TV's Sanford and Son the same year this 30 minute ultra-raunch session was recorded. The audience reactions are most entertaining, more audible sometimes than others, as the live recordings vary in quality and clarity. But with clips like "Too Tight" and "Clap Trap Johnson," you can be certain that the gasps go up as the comedy goes down. The only disappointment is the lack of between-skit music, which fades in and out in mere seconds. Perhaps the music was unnecessary to the original producers at Laff Records, but surely a full performance, complete with blowing horns (both literal and sexual), would be a true find for music as well as blaxploitation aficionados.
