Melody's debut, De Pata Negra, went beyond its original classification as a children's-oriented album, becoming a huge success in the Iberian dance/club scene and achieving double-platinum status soon after its release. This 12-track record features her first hit, a catchy dance-pop song titled "El Baile del Gorila," along with the flamenco-pop of "De Pata Negra" and the rhumba/merengue "Papi, Qué Me Pasa A Mi?" Melody was born in Sevilla in the cradle of talented flamenco artists. De Pata Negra emerges as a tribute to her homeland in her own way.
