This EP features two studio tracks from the North Carolina group's Rosemary album ("Daylight" and "Hey Mockingbird"), an acoustic version of that album's "Sad Inheritance," and a great cover version of Blondie's "Dreaming." The latter track epitomizes singer/guitarist Greg Humphreys' uncanny knack with tuneful power pop, a talent that would reach its peak on the group's last studio album, the criminally underappreciated Living Room Scene. "Daylight" and "Hey Mockingbird" represent a good assessment of early Dillon Fence: divided between sugary power pop ("Daylight") and Athens-to-Raleigh jangle pop ("Hey Mockingbird").
