One might think that Remedy Drive managed to fly under the radar due to the ubiquity of another brother act (think Nick, Joe and Kevin). And while it might be true that the four Zachs aren't yet a household name like the Jonas Brothers, it isn't unreasonable to see it coming true at some point. They have the talent, the look, and the drive (inevitable pun). Remedy Drive's piano-based rock doesn't speak the tune of tween love, yet its appeal is just as universal. The debut from the Lincoln, NE quartet is a refreshing blend of Needtobreathe and Switchfoot, setting realistic positive messages to a vertical Wall of Sound. David (vocals, keys, guitar), Paul (vocals, guitars), Philip (vocals, bass), and Daniel (drums) Zach play the humble family card well, crafting their songs with impressive cohesiveness. There isn't a lot lyrically on Daylight is Coming that hasn't been said before, but it is overcome with a great deal of energy and passion. Ian Eskelin, who was named Producer of the Year at the 2008 GMA Dove Awards, tightened the band's sound into a cacophony of modern rock. Add to that the kind of harmonies that only siblings can create, and you have one of the more balanced Christian rock offerings in recent memory.
