David's Drum

An interim single for Minneapolis' underappreciated Run Westy Run, David's Drum is an energetic showcase for singer/guitarist Kraig Johnson's wily sing-speak and catchy hooks. The song ranks with the band's better-known and equally memorable tunes, like "Johnny John" and "Could Ya Would Ya," and, in fact, this single is rounded out with one of the more forgettable moments from Green Cat Island, "Cardinal Drive." Also included is the lukewarm rock romp "Yellow."
