As might be guessed from its title, this is a continuation of the Data Rape album in ways, with one further track of experimental noise fun courtesy of old Speak and Spell toys, heavily distorted and treated to begin with and then further worked on in studio. It's actually the most aggressive song Sonic Boom has done in this vein, with a loud alarm sound drone setting the pace and further on-edge treatments causing everything to come across even more freakily. Ringing bells, buzzing bees, creeping chaos -- imagine all that in a blender and that's "Data Rape (Part 9)." The flipside, in fact, is an etching by the artist Savage Pencil instead of a song, making this a one-sided, one-song effort.
