The amazing thing to me is that the gorgeous full sound captured on this disc is done a 4 track deck! This is Cajun dance music at its best, and it goes to show that you don't need a full band to get the dance floor hopping. The fullness of the sound is amazing, considering that this was recorded on a four-track, not a state-of-the-art 24-track recorder. The one thing missing here is a lot of the information about who does what and, very important to some, who wrote which songs. Waylon Thibodeaux does most of the leads here, and Gina is credited with the lead guitar work -- as well as supplying the tasteful leads, she also supplies a lot of the underlying dance rhythms. The vocals are handled with more than usual grace by this duo. Both have a long pedigree, hers perhaps a bit more diverse, as she has a good name as a singer-songwriter on the folk circuit, but they just get down and have a grand old good time here; it will leave you with a smile on your face wishing to hear more.
