AllMusic Review by

Like its sister volume Clubber's Guide to 2002, Ministry of Sound's Dance Nation 2002 is an ambitious, two-CD set compiling some of the highlights of U.K. club land. While Clubber's Guide had more of an emphasis on progressive house and harder-edged tech-house, Dance Nation focuses more on the stylistic side of house and is more tailored to the Ibiza crowd than the fans who would show up at a prog house club expecting to see Paul Van Dyk. From Daft Punk's runaway hit "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" to Basement Jaxx's Pringle-chomping worldwide phenomenon "Where's Your Head At?," a wide range of electronic music styles and genres are represented here. It's an equally balanced comp with a solid track sequencing that makes this an enjoyable listen perfect for any environment.
