Unfortunately, none of the content of Culture Shock saves the release from being a total bore. Although many of the songs have quite clever lyrics, the annoying musical composition drones the singing out and makes the album just plain annoying. Pros to the album, if any, include their big hits "Second Week of Deer Camp" and "Rusty Chevrolet," but these songs are poorly timed and fail to grab any real attention. Fans would be better off with Da Yoopers' later releases, such as Yoop It Up or Yoopy Do Wah.
