AllMusic Review by

From the cascading sound of the rainstick and the coyote howl of the flute that begins this tape to the log drum that ends it, Jessita Reyes takes us on a musical tour of the world of the southwestern Indians. This is not a tape for purists, as Reyes, a member of The Native Flute Ensemble, freely incorporates instruments unknown to the American Indian -- such as synthesizer, tambourine, cymbals, and the south-of-the-border rainstick. However, taking inspiration from the legendary coyote trickster, this 44-minute tape flows nicely between its numerous tracks, offering much variety and successfully evoking images of full-moon mesas and Native American ceremonies.
