AllMusic Review by

Although Country Porn is the best effort from the notorious Chinga Chavin, purveyor of all things smutty and western, it's basically a one-joke album. The formula mixes fairly well-executed country music (in the style of Waylon Jennings and Freddy Fender) with ridiculously juvenile, sexually explicit lyrics. Unlike similar "joke" albums from David Allen Coe and others, Chavin dispenses with the double entendres altogether, favoring straightforward pleas for various forms of gratification and tales of his various carnal exploits. His semi-classic "Asshole from El Paso" (which is notable primarily because New York City talk radio DJ Don Imus often plays Kinky Friedman's cover version) is a wonderfully irreverent take on Merle Haggard's "Okie From Muskogee," but this song is as close as Chavin gets to real satire. The remainder of the album comes off like sound bite material for "shock jocks," and gets pretty boring after the first few songs.
