This excellent 1992 collection by country greats Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn offers up ten country-gospel tracks culled from the many duet albums they recorded together. Beginning in 1971, Twitty and Lynn joined forces at Decca and MCA (where they were both already signed as solo acts) and recorded the first of what would eventually be 11 successful duet albums. These ten tracks, which range from soulfully earnest ("Clinging to a Saving Hand") to playful ("Jesus Is a Soul Man"), represent a strong religious streak that ran through many of their recordings together. Whether singing gospel or secular, theirs was an inspired collaboration and their performances together represented a high point in each of their careers.
