AllMusic Review by

Sixteen tracks, just like the title says, of mid-'60s Danish garage rock, originally issued on small labels. It's satisfyingly raw and, as you might expect, heavily influenced by the British Invasion Merseybeat and R&B sounds. The execution (and English phrasing) can be clumsy, and some of the covers are pretty routine (though it's admittedly rare to find a cover of the Pretty Things' "Get the Picture"). It's not in the same league as the best compilations of Continental rock, from Sweden or other nations, but garage aficionados will generally feel they've gotten their money's worth. Highlights are the Bristols' alteration of the Animals' "I'm Crying" into "A Rolling Stone," and the Blackpools' energetic, mildly eccentric covers of "All Right" (popularized by the Searchers) and James Brown's "I'll Go Crazy."
