The Ingredients series compiles tracks from Good Looking records' Cookin' EPs. These EPs don't feature exclusively the sort of laid-back drum'n'bass associated with Good Looking (and its most recognizable artist, LTJ Bukem), but rather a more eclectic array of sounds, including jazz, funk, fusion, and hip-hop. Thus, the music tends to have a slight old-school feel to it, but that's precisely part of its allure, particularly since these old-school sounds are synthesized with the high-tech production values associated with Good Looking's style of drum'n'bass. Some of the featured tracks on this particular volume include ELT's "Glow Worm," Nebo's "Liquid Sky," Solaris' "How Far," and Cedar's "Amanha de Manha," among others. Overall, these collections offer a convenient way for anyone who doesn't want to deal with vinyl EPs to hear this music.
