AllMusic Review by

For the third of ten CDs taken from tapes donated by Francis Paudras, pianist Bud Powell is heard in generally excellent form. Most of his performances (all of which were recorded in Paris in 1957 or 1959) feature the bebop innovator in a trio with bassist Pierre Michelot and drummer Kenny Clarke; four of the songs add the always-joyous trumpet of Clark Terry and three of those pieces also feature Barney Wilen on tenor. The sound quality is decent and Bud Powell was definitely "on" for these jams.
