This ebullient, highly energetic recording marks the first of many continuous reunions of the now-soloist Ismael Miranda with Larry Harlow, whose powerful salsa band is at the peak of its powers. Brightly record by longtime Fania sound engineer Jon Fausty, the bandleader/singer combination brings their customary brand of kinetic performance. The hits include "Señor Botanico" (composed by Rubén Blades), the frenetic "Vencere" (composed by Miranda, arranged by Jorge Millet), and "Con Mi Viejo Amigo" (also composed by Miranda).
