The first six volumes of this series collecting all of the Dave Clark Five's recorded work presented all of the group’s 12 U.S.A.-issued LPs between 1964 and 1968 as well as the four U.K. LPs released after that between 1969 and 1972. This seventh volume collects 25 sides that weren’t included on any of those LPs, most of them A and B sides from singles, including a couple of fairly big hits, 1965’s “Over and Over” being the most notable. This “everything that’s left” approach means that Pieces & Bits is a bit erratic as a listen but it’s just as equally fascinating at points, and true fans and collectors of this fine and too often underrated group will no doubt be pleased with this interesting catchall package.
