This is a compilation CD from the Lansing, Michigan, noise/punk outfit Small Brown Bike. Although there is no new material here, Collection is a great introduction to the band. Collection features all of the band's 7" vinyl releases and singles from tapes, compiled into CD format. This is all of their material from the beginning up to the latest release Our Own Wars. Most of the songs are rough, but this is the only way you would want to hear it. The underlying, emotional tones of "No Place Like You" is the album's best track. You can feel singer Mike Reed's pain through the speakers. The offsetting screams of rhythm guitarist Travis Dopp helps push the song into your psyche. These guys are gonna be larger than life someday, so pick this up before it becomes obsolete, and lost in the shuffle. Check out the new album, Our Own Wars, as well.
