San Francisco hardcore band Western Addiction's full-length debut is an exercise in old-school high-octane noise-rock, featuring slamming power chords, screamed vocals, and a full-on punk attitude. Tracks rarely clock in at over two minutes, tempos are taken at a sprint. The disaffected titles ("Face Cancer," "It's Funny, I Don't Feel Like a Winner") speak for themselves, while the band's lyric, "This is the church where Black Flag resides," couldn't make their outlook any plainer.
