AllMusic Review by

As a follow-up to his initial entry into Serious Records' Clubbed series of DJ mix albums, Judge Jules spins what he intends to be a summer mix of warm, sunny, and lighthearted dance tracks. Just how summery this mix is can be debated, but it's surely a joyful and carefree dance mix. As you might expect with a set from Jules, there's no shortage of big hits here, and all of the songs are hot off the press in early 2001. In particular, the first set is stacked with some big U.K. hits: Jean-Jacques Smoothie's "2 People," Saeed & Palash's "Losing Control," the "Hi-Gate Remix" of Mauro Picotto's "Like This Like That," and Harry "Choo-Choo" Romero's "Beats, Vol. 2." The second set doesn't have quite as many hits, but there are still a few highlights, most notably Members of Mayday's "10 in 01" and the "Mauro Picotto Club Mix" of Musique Vs U2's "New Years Dub." As with any Jules mix, the emphasis is on calling out the big hits before they're big hits rather than mixing, continuity, or a creative track selection, and this album is no different.
