AllMusic Review by

Club Mix 98: Volume 2 is a continuous-mix collection of pop, urban R&B and hip-hop hits from 1997 and 1998. Some of the songs are here in their original form, but most of the record is dedicated to edits and remixes, some of which pale in comparison to their counterparts. Nevertheless, the record isn't a bad party album, especially since it contains such highlights as the Backstreet Boys' "As Long As You Love Me," Robyn's "Do You Know (What It Takes)," Expose's "Point of No Return," Dru Hill's "Never Make a Promise," Olive's "You're Not Alone," Real McCoy's "One More Time," SWV & Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott's "Can We," Lisa Stansfield's "Never Never Gonna Give You Up" and Rome's "I Belong to You (Every Time I See Your Face)."
