AllMusic Review by

Clifford Brown in Paris gives listeners most of the highlights from trumpeter Clifford Brown's three sets of recordings that he made with Lionel Hampton Orchestra in September-October 1953 while visiting Paris. Brown is heard with a quartet ("It Might as Well Be Spring" and "The Song Is You" are high points), a sextet co-led by altoist Gigi Gryce, and with a big band of top American and French musicians on music mostly arranged by Quincy Jones. In Paris gives Clifford Brown fans who run across it a strong overview of these enjoyable sessions.
