AllMusic Review by

Classic Bing: 60 Classic Favourites is a lengthy three-disc box on the MasterSong label, compiling Crosby recordings from the first two decades of his career. Although the set includes a lot of prime early material, it's neither comprehensive nor organized; the compilers' cryptic selections include quite a few classics -- "St. Louis Blues" with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Crosby's early hits "Temptation" and "Please," country-western crossovers "Don't Fence Me In" and "Deep in the Heart of Texas" -- but many mediocre studio recordings and also a few radio-show performances. If not for its wealth of material from the late '20s and early '30s, which gets issued more rarely than other periods, this shoddily packaged set would be rated even lower.
