With the loose, choppy guitars that cohere with the vocal bellowing, Mercura's style of raging pop further inspires the D.I.Y. movement of lo-fi grrl punk. Featuring two songs of frustration that are contained on a four-track recording, both songs on Chrome -- although high on the catchy factor -- lack originality. This is thanks to the technical guitar leads and overlapping vocals that are completely taken from Sleater-Kinney's style. Despite the obvious steals, Mercura's raging girl angst provides the perfect background music for anyone who's had a bad day.
