Chemistry for Changing Times Review

by Blake Butler

Quiet, rocking demo with strong passion, containing members of Hot Water Music. Although the influence can be heard, this album is refreshing, it's different from HWM -- much more laid back and pretty sounding. The vocals are extremely powerful -- delicate but with a rough edge that stands out from other bands. A viola and synthesizer also add beautiful orchestration on some of the songs. This would be much appreciated by fans of Christie Front Drive, Mineral and other such straightforward rocking bands.
