AllMusic Review by

Lynn White revamps Z Z Hill's scandalous "Cheatin' in the Next" as a male/female duet to kick off this well-produced CD. A live version of "May the Best Man Win" displays the Dixie diva's charisma. On "Good Man" she's on a mission to find Mr. Goodbar, and "10 Feet Deep"'s soap opera-like lyrics and White's methodical delivery makes it irresistible. She softens her approach on "My Heart Is Over You," a reflective, sweet ballad, and also on "I Don't Know Why," a mid-tempo grabber. "Stranger in the Sheets" is classic Southern soul complete with that engaging groove you never tired of hearing. "Everybody Is Somebody Baby" and "Brokenhearted Woman" prove that White has some blues genes in her soul. The Masqueraders, Debra Carter Hall, and Ann "Tearjerker" Hines accompany White vocally.
