This is a bit of a puzzling compilation. In theory, a collection of sacred songs with a disc sung by men and a disc sung by women makes some sense, but in execution it just becomes schizophrenic. The recordings and performances are all quite good; it's just that veering from opera to qawwali to gospel and Gregorian chant (and almost anything 'sacred' in between) is not a very coherent listening experience.
