AllMusic Review by

The third volume in Creative World's By Request series mostly sticks to the 1946-47 period with three numbers from 1943-45 and three dating from 1950-51. Highlights include "Harlem Folk Dance," "Southern Scandal," "Unison Riff" and "Dynaflow" and among the soloists are altoist Art Pepper (heard from in two different periods), the tenor of Vido Musso, trumpeter Chico Alvarez and trombonist Kai Winding; in addition there are two vocal tracks for The Pastels and Anita O'Day sings "Gotta Be Gettin.'" This diverse LP fills some important gaps since many of the selections are not reissued that often; most importantly the music is consistently enjoyable.
