AllMusic Review by

A surprisingly valuable collection for fans of New Orleans R&B, Brother to Brother presents two discs combining the recordings of two Neville Brothers, Aaron and Art, with Minit/Instant baron Joe Banashak during the '60s. The first is Aaron's show, beginning and ending with his biggest '60s hit, "Over You" (the alternate features Neville driving the band at a breakneck pace). In between are 17 of his lesser-known performances of the time, including a pair of "The Ticks of the Clock" and "I'm Waiting at the Station." Art Neville's disc looks back to a bluesier era of R&B and includes a few novelties ("Skeet Skat," "Hook, Line and Sinker"), as well as several unreleased songs.
