AllMusic Review by

Castle's 2002 box set The Bronze Albums collects three masterpieces and one "almost-piece" from Motörhead's career peak while with said record company. Starting with their second album, 1979's utterly essential Overkill, forward with the same year's only slightly weaker Bomber, up to the stratospheric heights of 1980's also indispensable Ace of Spades, and finally wrapping with 1982's somewhat disappointing Iron Fist. For anyone not in possession of all four (shame on you!), this would of course appear to constitute the ultimate umbrella package to seek out; but (and this is a big but), be forewarned that it contains none of the excellent B-sides and alternate versions often found on most individual reissues of these albums.
